Muskegon County
Senior Millage

Muskegon County voters first passed a 0.5 mill Senior Millage in 2016; it was renewed for another 8 years in 2024. The funds collected are awarded to organizations that apply through a grant process administered by Senior Resources, with approval by the Muskegon County Commission. Service providers and municipalities receive funding that support the independence of older adults or enrich their lives through senior focused programing. Services like meal delivery, home modification, transportation, assistance with household chores, home repair, wellness, dental, legal services, and in-home services give older adults essential services to assist in their desire to continue living independent lives.
